Philanthropiece was honored to host the third-annual estETHICa Ethical Fashion Show to benefit our partners, the INVST Community Leadership Program at the University of Colorado. Guests were treated to a red-carpet evening featuring up-cycled thrift, local, and sustainable outfits from some of Boulder’s most conscious business and organizations including Rockin’ Betty’s Thrift Store, Sassy Hiker, Stone and Arrow, Bead for Life, Threads 4 Thought, ARES, Umba, Rita Cherry Designs, and Good Will Industries. The INVST Community Leadership Program focuses on developing community leaders who engage in compassionate action as a lifetime commitment. Their mission shone brightly through the hip fashions of the evening, making us even more proud to support these innovative changemakers!
A standing-room only audience was treated to INVST students, alumni and local non-profit all-stars (including the amazing and lively Lee Shanis from Intercambio and Shawn Camden of the Spanish Institute!) strutting their spirit and style through the Philanthropiece Barn. The evening was a great reminder of how making conscious consumer decisions and wearing sustainable clothing can contribute to social justice. But don’t take our word for it, these are styles you need to see for yourself. Beware, checking out this gallery may have you running to your nearest thrift store!
