Martha is in the back row, center. She is celebrating alongside savings group members in the ranching community of San Javier, who have just graduated from our Community Bank 15-month training program. Vamos!

This post appears as part of an ongoing series of reports from the field called “Seeds of Savings,” from our Regional Coordinator in Loreto, Martha Drew. Gracias, compañera!

The month of December was one of much hard work for the our Community Bank Program Regional Coordinators and our Field Coordinator, Jordan Bailey. We spent most of the days leading to the year end working in the field with the 550 participants who are active in 27 savings groups in Baja California Sur, Mexico. We are incredibly satisfied with the advances and the impact of the program. Thank you to my compañeros for all of their support, and here’s to 2015!

Martha Drew is Philanthropiece’s Regional Coordinator in Loreto, BCS Mexico. She is passionate about educating adults and youth alike to create avenues to lead more sustainable and healthy lives.
