UNDOCUMONOLOGUES WITH JAZZ GREAT ROBERT JOHNSON

October 12, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$17.00

Philanthropiece is partnering with Motus Theater to support with their new project, the Shoebox Stories podcast. This podcast, launching on October 24th, will feature powerful and moving stories from undocumented people caught in the crosshairs of U.S immigration policy read by prominent Americans who are willing to stand in their shoes and see the world, for a moment, through their eyes. We are so fortunate here in Boulder County to get to hear these stories live on stage, as Motus introduces UndocuMonologues to Louisville!

Join us for this special event: “Motus Theater’s undocumented leaders courageously tell their stories, representing the pain, struggles, and resilience of so many undocumented Americans. Join us on October 12th, for a special performance featuring powerful stories from the heart by undocumented community leaders on the frontline of U.S. immigration policy. Story themes include the threat of deportation; border patrol; the current human and civil rights threats to immigrants; racial profiling. UndocuMonologues with jazz great Robert Johnson. Autobiographical monologues by Kiara Chávez, Armando Peniche, Irving Reza & Reydesel Salvidrez-Rodriguez. Musical responses by vocalist and jazz legend Robert Johnson.”
