Violeta Chapin

ADVISORY BOARD
Professor Violeta Chapin teaches the Criminal & Immigration Defense Clinic at the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, CO. She and her students  support and defend undocumented students and other members of our immigrant community as the uncertainty around DACA, Temporary Protected Status and other immigrant-related programs continues. Violeta joined the Colorado Law faculty in August of 2009 after serving for seven years as a trial attorney with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. As a public defender, she represented both adult and juvenile clients who had been charged with serious felony-level crimes and defended their constitutional rights against the government. Violeta attended college at Columbia University in New York City and received her law degree from New York University School of Law.
