Kingsley Lawson

ECONOMIC JUSTICE PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Kingsley Lawson is a first-generation immigrant and college graduate who completed his degree in Economics with an emphasis on Real Estate at Colorado State University. Kingsley serves as the Economic Justice Program Assistant at Philanthropiece where he aides in facilitating the Financial Health course program as well as fulfill other duties essential to the Economic Justice Program. Kingsley was born in Ghana, West Africa, but emigrated with his family to the United States as a child and grew up in the United States. Kingsley brings a wealth of experience navigating the intricacies of life as a first-generation immigrant as well as combatting the challenges of the economic and social groups he identifies with as an African American and a first-generation immigrant. Kingsley enjoys connecting and networking with like-minded individuals and advocating for community change that pushes for the betterment of minority groups as well as championing social change within those communities. When able to, Kingsley enjoys social activities such as connecting with friends, traveling, health and exercise, as well as being immersed in a good book!
