Julie is a nurse and environmental sustainability expert, and brings a perspective of personal, community and global health and wellness to the Philanthropiece community. A founding Advisory Board member of Philanthropiece, Julie supports sustainable and innovative international community development, and has participated in international medical missions. Professionally, Julie is a staff member of Practice Greenhealth, a non-profit health care sustainability organization. She is also a staff nurse in the OR at Centura Health, and founder of 1×1 Consulting, which specializes in in health care sustainability solutions. She earned her BSN from Vanderbilt University and Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from Duke University. Julie enjoys living in Colorado and when not in the office can be found somewhere in the backcountry hiking, skiing and backpacking, or domestically in the garden or kitchen.
