In order to prepare for the Insight Trip, each YGLer was assigned to one of four committees: food, gear, budget, or documentation. The “doc crew” was tasked with capturing the trip through photos and videos and ultimately stringing the footage together into this short film. Intended to help friends, family, and community members understand how and why we explored the topic of immigration, this twelve-minute video introduces you to community partners, amazing organizations, and the YGLers themselves. We hope the trip’s core themes – passion, justice, reciprocity, and meaningful storytelling – will shine through in the stories of the many incredible changemakers we met.
