Neda Kikhia
Youth Global Leadership Program Assistant

Neda is a Colorado local who graduated from the University of Denver with a double major in Communication Studies and Religious Studies and a minor in Leadership Studies. Throughout her college experience at the University of Denver, she focused on service-learning and community engagement in various roles within the Center for Community Engagement & Service Learning (CCESL) [http://www.du.edu/ccesl/ ]. In the CCESL community, she was a Public Achievement Coach for four years, a Service Learning Associates and Public Good Associates Program Assistant, a participant in the AmeriCorps program, a Co-president for DU Service & Change for two years, and served as a Service Initiative Program Assistant. Neda also worked in the Undergraduate Admission Office as the College Access & Group Visit Fellow.

In addition to her role at Philanthropiece, Neda is certified speaker for the Colorado Muslim Speakers Bureau (CMSB), which is a non-profit organization that educates about American-Muslims and their faith as a means of promoting religious literacy, mutual respect, and understanding. Neda is passionate about community organizing and its potential to initiate sustainable community change by focusing on the voices and stories of the people, while understanding our own identities. Neda truly believes there is immense power in our youth and their potential to impact and co-create equitable spaces through public projects. She is an avid podcast listener, travel enthusiast, and spoken word fanatic.
