Katie Doyle Myers
Director of Programs

Katie Doyle Myers’ professional background initiated in the fields of education and service learning.  After earning her BA in Spanish and Communication Studies from the College of Wooster and spending a decade teaching in secondary classrooms, Ms. Doyle Myers became the Communications Manager for Global Works. This Boulder-based business, focusing on meaningful community service and authentic cultural exchange programs for students, introduced Ms. Doyle Myers to participatory development as she established relationships directly with individuals and communities throughout Latin America. In order to deepen her understanding of the connection between personal and societal transformation, Ms. Doyle Myers went on to earn her MA in Contemplative Education from Naropa University. Additionally, Ms. Doyle Myers is the Founder of 100 Book Day, an initiative to raise funds and awareness for innovative global literacy solutions, and served as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Global Grassroots, a non-profit that supports conscious social change, driven by and for vulnerable women at the grassroots level. As the Director of Programs, Ms. Doyle Myers supports Philanthropiece’s core programs, partnerships, and overall organizational direction.

At Philanthropiece, we are fortunate to have a team of inspired and inspiring individuals who are willing to go to the end of the earth and back – or at least to the end of a long dirt road in the back of a bumpy bus – to share in the process of creating a better life in our partner communities.
